“Not Just A Business A Purpose”

In addition to providing services to the engineering community, Final Draft is committed to providing professional resources and staff to a quality workplace-based mentoring program for at-risk youth who have a desire and determination to succeed.

Final Draft’s workplace-based mentoring program will include internships and job shadowing opportunities for youth. The program is intended to provide the opportunity to develop a relationship with one or more employees who will become their friends, role models and advocates. Taking place at Final Draft, either during or after school hours, the program will take various forms, including tutoring, job shadowing and college exploration.

Mentoring programs are desperately needed to provide guidance and companionship for at-risk youth. Family tragedy, divorce, and financial problems can leave a youth lonely and longing for adult support. These young individuals need assistance with school work, a listening ear, and unwavering encouragement. Youths guided by a successful role model are more likely to improve academic performance, decision-making skills, self-confidence, and a sense of belonging. Our purpose is to help youth learn about the world of work, and to provide them with the tools necessary to be successful in life.
